PIGMENTATION SOLUTION
PIGMENTATION |
|
Pigmentation is the darkening of the skin, the most common cause is excessive amounts of melanin pigment skin.
When exposed to sunlight, the amount of brown pigment melamine produced by specialized skin cells, called melanocytes, increases and the skin becomes dark or tan. Some of the skin-white people have more melanin than others when they are exposed to sunlight. If melanin production is uneven, pigmentation will result in spotting and freckles. Genetic factors are involved in the development of freckles. Other factors, other than sunlight, can increase melamine in spots or in the topical or broad areas of the skin. In rare cases, melamine and other substances can cause skin to darken.
